GV Mobile + 3 for Google Voice App Reviews

Its been awhile this app got no update. Notification generated email got blocked by google, no more forwarding, no push notification. This app is dead.

I keep getting "missed call" alerts hours after the calls came in.

Id like to have calls not be on voip but still have users get my gv caller id. The Google app does it by fetching the masquerade number. Can this app do it without callbacks?

First off, let me start by saying how great and functional this app is. Its jam packed with features and way more useful than Googles app. However, notifications havent been working for quite some time. Its very inconsistent. More times than not, I am never notified when I receive a text message or voicemail. Ive considered installing the Google Voice app just so I can be notified of a message, then using this one to read/send. Voice calls are not an issue and very easy to make calls from he app.

Update 11/10/15: What happened to this app? It was better than Googles, and it hasnt been updated since June! Since that time, notifications dont work anymore, it doesnt ring..whats going on? Has the developer abandoned this app?? Update 06/11/15: Why does the dialer delay in each number I press? Sounds like when I used to hold down a number on an actual telephone as a kid! Update 05/29/15: Thanks for getting the app working again! Keep up the great work! Best third party Google Voice client Ive tried! Had no real major complaints, but it suddenly stopped authenticating, and now I cant even log in! Developer, please fix this and Ill bump it back up to the full stars it deserves!

Dude you need to get your two step authentication fixed. Suddenly voip calls are refused!!!

This thing used to be great. Now its a dumpster fire in your phone. Notifications have been a significant problem for multiple accounts or multiple messages from the start. Now it wont even open or connect to google voice. Ive tried a number of these apps for GV. This one used to be quite good. But it seems it has now been left to die and rot. Save your money.

Five stars? Yes. No crashes, and Im finally getting back to using my GV number- because I can switch cellphones, or carry either my FreedomPop (on Sprint) iphone or my PagePlus (on Verizon) iphone or both (for those places where only one carrier has a signal- and you dont know ahead of time which one it will be). THIS APP took a little getting used to but it DOES work as VoIP and thats what I needed for FreedomPop because that service is only VoIP and their app gave me lots of problems when it didnt crash. This GV Mobile + app has never crashed on me. I couldnt get the hang of the official "hangouts" app either, and some of the other GV apps require a real cellular voice (vs. VoIP ) connection in order to work. Ill be using this as my main dialer/texting interface, at least until I find something better.

The app does not work - it only sends text messages and does not send pictures !! And there is no way to get support from the developer -

Ive been using this app for several years now and I love it! It does what it says, its reliable, and I love that it has a way of working with picture messages. That said, I would like to see an update where it can employ some of the newer OS technology. 1. A 3-D Touch menu could come in handy for quickly making calls, sending messages, or going straight to the inbox. 2. Better interface and support for iPad. 3. An Apple Watch app would be Kean. 4. Fluid integration with Siri. Id love to tell Siri to call or send a message somebody using GV Mobile + and have my iPhone do just that. I wonder if these things would be in the cards.

I bought this app bc I didnt like the interface of the free version, but now my calls arent coming through. Very disappointing since thats the reason I have the app in the first place.

Cant send photos any more! As usual for this app, developers fails to deliver a new feature that isnt buggy.

Ive been using this app, and its predecessor, for nearly 5 years. Once in a while I notice delayed notifications for text messages, but it usually has gotten resolved in a day or two. However, for the last couple of months now Ive been receiving notifications a day or two late. I assumed it would be noticed and corrected by the developers, but the problem persists. Im going to start looking elsewhere.

If your phone doesnt have at least the #5 in its generation this is a waste of money for those who really use google talk. Im just using a friends old iPhone between upgrades but my google voice number is what I use for work. In 24 hours Ive had about 15 client calls and all but 2 were dropped. And the notification set up is incredibly overly complicated, yet their support is almost not found unless you are on a screen larger than the iPhone 4s whose software is supposed to have all those bugs worked out. Will not look into their version 2.0 when I get the new phone.

I LOVE the app for texting and sending pictures. However, I keep getting the message "VolP Disabled" EVERYTIME I get ready to make a phone call. Ive signed out of the app and even deleted it several times in order to fix the problem, but nothing works. If this problem is ever fixed, this would receive a 5 star rating.

It was the best GV app for a long time but its been ignored for a long time and it too unreliable. Im sure its possible to get it to be "good enough" but thats not what it is today. The most basic text message only appear AFTER I open the app. Push Notifications are unreliable. Now I have GV forward text and voice messages to my email account and then I open the web page if necessary. Its not great but its more reliable than this app. The truth is the only reason I held onto it for so long is that it use to manage multiple GV accounts reasonably well. It cant do a good job with a single account now.
