GV Mobile + 3 for Google Voice App Reviews

This app does not meet Googles modern security standards and I now cant use it. What a waste of $3 bucks

Update - couldnt use this at all kept getting error message it wasnt connected or something I recently downloaded this in hopes of having more features like picture sending and address book that regular Google voice doesnt have. The picture sending is great. The phone calls however are a disaster!!! All calls get dropped and I dont like the confusing interface to make or receive calls. Also when I started using this my regular Google voice app now cant make calls. Not sure why that is but you got to fix. I keep not getting alerts when people ring my Google voice number via this app now either.

Ive been using the app for a while now and was initially reluctant to make a purchase of this price. Now, several months later, the issues have worsened. Authentication problem every day. I have to delete and add back my account at minimum, 4-5 times daily. In addition, to get help, you have to register which takes forever to get approved. I paid for the stupid app! You should have in-app support, not a stand alone support you have to sign into. I mean seriously, have you been addressing all the app issues?

Ive been using this app for several years now and I love it! It does what it says, its reliable, and I love that it has a way of working with picture messages. That said, I would like to see an update where it can employ some of the newer OS technology. 1. A 3D Touch menu could come in handy for quickly making calls, sending messages, or going straight to the inbox. 2. Better interface and support for iPad. 3. An Apple Watch app would be Kean. 4. Fluid integration with Siri. Id love to tell Siri to call or send a message somebody using GV Mobile + and have my iPhone do just that. Other apps for Google voice dont offer these features. Said features were really put this app another cut above the rest.

Just 2 days ago your pic sending service stopped working please update it so we get that functionality back and Ill update to 5 stars

Google has this app blacklisted due to their lack of updates and patching. Keep your account safe and dont use this app.

I mainly need this for sending pictures and voip, works great... to be able to use all of the features U must change the Google setting/ turn on the less restrictions on google account. Many people dont know this.

The previous version has ipad support, this version does not, I was told there will be a separate version for the ipad so dont waste your money like I did

Dont waste your money google blocks you from using this app stating it is out dated and a security risk. Cant even sign in

This app was abandoned. Y the developer over a year ago! Dont download, youd be supporting a lazy approach to programming.

Correct login, correct setup as far as I can tell and cannot place calls via VOIP. If this is available it should be clear how to use it other than logging into your GV acct. if its not available anymore as a feature then stop selling it. Very frustrated and no good faqs anywhere.

but whether or not I get notifications is random, and it doesnt work with my bluetooth headset - doesnt pick up calls and if make an outgoing one, cant hear in the headset. apple tell me the drivers need updating to go with the new versions of the os. so, at this point, useless for me except for text messaging.

Keep getting voip disconnected because user name and password is incorrect. I logged out and back in again but still getting the same error. This just isnt the case at all, this app just isnt working. Please fix it.

Followed instructions - picture mail does not work - cant send or receive messages with pictures - forwarding address provided by app does not work - gmail sends it back . Do not buy - will change review once it works .

App hasnt been updated for awhile. Has it been abandoned?

Great app, and a very responsive developer (sudden auth mechanism change? Here you go; new update!) I use it pretty much exclusively for voice & text. I wish it could hook Google Voice into Messages and the phone app (including using my GV #, but it cant due to Apples lockdown...and the lack of MMS support is on Google. I love GV Mobile!

Im starting to believe that this is a dead app there is no support anymore and updates are too far and few. I do not recommend buying it right now

Its been over 18 months since an update. And now with the recent GV update by google allowing for mms messages and group chats I hope this software gets updated to allow for that.

With the introduction of voip calling, this app even surpasses the stock Google Voice app in terms of featureset since the last time I used it. The interface is sleek and well designed. And this app even works for Google Voice in Canada! Overall a top notch app.

This product has really matured over the years, and has become one if most well-polished apps out there. The UI is slick and intuitive, and setup was simple.
